Poker is a skill-based game in the long run, and in any game, a good hand of cards never disappoints. There are ten hands used to describe all poker hand rankings. These poker hand rankings comprise poker sequences, other pairs, triplets and cards of a similar suit.

The Royal Flush is the highest amongst the top poker hand rankings, which a Straight Flush follows. “Four of a kind” seats itself third-highest amongst the higher poker winning hands.
The next highest is a Full House, followed by a Flush Poker, and the Straight Poker sequence is the 6th highest hand. The 4th lowest hand is “Three of a kind”, followed by two pairs.
The bottom two poker hands are one pair and the high card, the latter being the lowest in poker hand rankings.
Thus, the poker hand rankings are as follows:

1. Royal Flush in Poker

This is the highest-ranking poker hand, so you will definitely be hoping to receive a royal flush to wash out the other players at the poker table. A royal flush consists of five consecutive cards of the same suit in order of value from 10 through to Ace.

In the instance where there is a tie, the highest four-of-a-kind wins. In community card games where players have the same four of a kind, the player with the highest fifth card or kicker wins.

5. Flush in Poker

However, if all five cards are of the same rank, the pot is split, and in the poker game, the suit cannot be used to break a tie.

6. Straight in Poker

A straight is five cards in sequence, and it does not have to be in the same suit. With a straight, an Ace can rank as either high (above a King) or low (below a 2).

Two cards of a matching rank and another two cards of a different matching rank, as well as one side card. If there is a tie at the poker table, the highest pair wins. If players have the same highest pair, the highest second pair wins. But, if both players have two identical pairs, the highest side card wins.

9. A Pair in Poker

A pair in poker refers to two cards of the same rank in different suits, another two cards of a different matching rank, and one side card. The highest pair wins if there is a tie at the poker table. If players have the same highest pair, the highest second pair wins. But, if both players have two identical pairs, the highest second card wins.

A pair or one pair can beat a high card and the other pair with a low ranking.

10. High Card in Poker

We’ve reached the lowest-ranked poker sequence. Of course, this means it would kick into effect if you haven’t made any of the above hands. You would have to rely on the highest-ranked card in your hand.
